The
Accommodations: The Jameson Inn is
a charming 3-story hotel with a
colonial style of architecture and is ideally located just one exit
north of the LPGA International, just five minutes from the first tee
and ten minutes from Daytona Beach International airport.
The Destination:
Daytona Beach is on the east coast of Florida directly on the
ocean. LPGA International is the home of the LPGA. LPGA
International boasts two Championship Golf Courses. The Champions
course, designed by Rees Jones, opened in July 1994 and for five years
played host to The Titleholders Presented by Mercury, one of the LPGA
Tour's premier events. At 7088 yards from the back tees, this course
features strategic mounding, tranquil marsh areas, nature preserves,
and numerous lakes and bunkers. The Legends Course was designed
by Arthur Hills and opened in October 1998. This spectacular layout
provides the perfect balance of strategy, power, finesse, and fun.
With tight well-bunkered greens, undulating fairways and water on more
than half of the holes. At 6984 yards, the Legends Course requires
different strategies on each of the 18 holes. The Legends course is
the home of the annual LPGA Qualifying School. |
